Simergent ASN Poster - Novel APD Cycler Connector with Touch Contamination Comparison

Simergent is presenting a poster at ASN Kidney Week 2025 of an in vitro study demonstrating several orders of magnitude less Staph aureus delivered to a simulated patient compared to. a competitor’s tubing set connectors. This difference is attributable to Simergent’s shrouded, recessed connectors which are compatible with existing Baxter/Vantive APD bags.

The new Archimedes™ cycler has potential to reduce touch contamination compared to a leading competitor. Peritonitis is currently one of the leading causes of PD patient hospitalization & transfer to HD and is responsible for 16% of PD patient deaths.

Simergent is not making any marketing claims about peritonitis infection prevention.
